KTR Levels Serious Allegations Against CM Revanth Reddy, Flags KLSR Infra ‘Benami’ Row

KTR accuses Telangana CM Revanth Reddy of running benami operations through KLSR Infra, alleges ₹6,000 crore scam, and questions Davos visit amid growing political row.

Former minister and BRS working president K T Rama Rao (KTR) have made sharp allegations against the Telangana Congress government and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, claiming that multiple scams are now coming to light one after another.

Speaking to the media in Hyderabad, KTR said the BRS had earlier prevented a massive financial loss running into lakhs of crores in the name of the Musi River project and exposed several alleged irregularities under the present government.

‘BRS Exposed Multiple Congress Scams,’ Says KTR

KTR stated that:

  • The BRS stopped attempts to grab tribal land in Lagacharla for the benefit of a “son-in-law’s company”
  • The party exposed alleged scams worth lakhs of crores in the hill policy
  • Irregularities in Singareni were also brought to public attention by the BRS

He alleged that corruption cases linked to the Congress government are steadily being uncovered.

KLSR Infra Is Revanth Reddy’s Benami Company: KTR

Making a major allegation, KTR described KLSR Infra as a benami company of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. He said the Supreme Court of India had issued notices to both the Centre and the State on January 23, questioning how contracts were awarded to a company declared bankrupt.

According to KTR:

  • KLSR Infra received contracts worth ₹6,000 crore
  • The Kodangal Lift Irrigation Project was handed over to KLSR
  • Despite being insolvent since July 2023, the company continued to get major works

KTR recalled that during previous Income Tax raids, authorities had suspected benami investments linked to Revanth Reddy.
He claimed that in 2018, the IT Department had clearly mentioned benami links between Revanth Reddy and KLSR Infra.

“KLSR got wings only after Revanth Reddy became Chief Minister,” KTR alleged.

Questions Raised Over Davos Visit

The former minister also questioned the Chief Minister’s foreign visit, alleging that:

  • The benami operations were being managed from Davos
  • There were reports of the CM disappearing during the Davos trip
  • The visit was allegedly meant to protect benami dealings

KTR demanded immediate cancellation of all contracts given to KLSR Infra and sought an explanation from PCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud.

Money Transferred to CM’s Family Companies: Allegation

KTR further alleged that money from KLSR Infra was diverted to companies belonging to Revanth Reddy’s family, demanding a clear public response from the Congress leadership.

Defection Verdict a ‘Comedy Serial’: KTR

On the issue of party defections, KTR mocked the verdict involving defected MLAs, calling it a “comedy serial.”
He criticised the Speaker, alleging partiality, and said:

  • Jagtial MLA Sanjay was personally welcomed by the CM with a scarf
  • The final decision on the issue will now be settled in court

Final Word

Reiterating BRS’s stand, KTR said the party will continue to expose alleged corruption and fight the matter legally until accountability is fixed.
