Harish Rao Slams CM Revanth Reddy Over Remarks on KCR, Calls Them ‘Disgusting and Irresponsible’

Hyderabad, February 5: Former minister and Harish Rao, a senior leader of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), strongly criticised Revanth Reddy for his recent remarks against BRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR). Harish Rao described the Chief Minister’s comments as disgusting, hateful, and unbecoming of the office he holds.

‘Spitting Poison Against KCR’
Addressing the media, Harish Rao said he was deeply saddened by the language used by CM Revanth Reddy. He questioned why the Chief Minister was feeling uncomfortable if people of Telangana were referring to KCR as the “Father of the Nation” for the state.
Harish Rao remarked that Revanth Reddy will be remembered in history for using abusive language, alleging that the Chief Minister is speaking out of frustration and moral bankruptcy.
Appeal to Intellectuals and Public
The BRS leader called upon the intellectuals of Telangana to respond to what he termed the anarchy and poor language of the Chief Minister. He urged people, especially from Kodangal constituency, to observe how Revanth Reddy is allegedly speaking without restraint.
“It is unfortunate that Telangana has such a Chief Minister,” Harish Rao said.
SLBC Tunnel and Governance Claims
Harish Rao highlighted development works carried out during the BRS government, stating that 11 km of the SLBC tunnel was completed in seven years. He alleged that in the last two years, the Congress government has failed to make even minimal progress.
He further accused CM Revanth Reddy of failing to handle the SLBC tunnel accident effectively and said that speaking lightly about the Telangana movement would hurt the sentiments of martyrs.
‘Hate Speech and Diversion Politics’
Referring to a speech by Justice Sudarshan Reddy on hate speech, Harish Rao alleged that Revanth Reddy gave a live demonstration of hate speech at the same venue. He said that whenever the government tries to divert public attention, people will eventually remove Revanth Reddy from the Chief Minister’s post.
Allegations of Scams and Broken Guarantees
Harish Rao accused Congress leaders of being involved in scams every month, claiming that the party’s guarantees have remained unfulfilled. He also alleged that Revanth Reddy had entered into a secret understanding with the BJP to protect his position.
He further claimed that the Mahabubnagar MP seat was handed over to the BJP, while Congress failed to open its account in several states.
Challenge on Interest-Free Loans
Questioning the government’s claims, Harish Rao challenged CM Revanth Reddy to hold a public discussion at the Press Club on where ₹25,000 crore interest-free loans were actually given.
In a sharp remark, Harish Rao advised the Chief Minister to go to Harvard University and change his mindset, adding that he was not confident Revanth Reddy would reform his approach.
