The process has been initiated by the Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department, following the launch of its official website and online accreditation module.

Existing Accreditation Cards to Expire on February 28
Officials said the current accreditation cards will expire on February 28, making it mandatory for eligible working journalists to apply for new accreditation cards for 2026–28. The new system aims to streamline the application process through an online platform.
Online Applications Now Open
The I&PR Department has called for online submission of applications from journalists whose names are forwarded by their respective media managements. Journalists are required to apply through the department’s official website using the newly launched accreditation module.
Role of Media Managements Explained
As per the guidelines:
- Media managements must submit names for state-level accreditation to the Commissioner, Information and Public Relations, Hyderabad
- Names for district-level accreditation should be sent to the respective District Public Relations Officers (DPROs)
Only journalists whose names are officially forwarded by managements will be eligible to apply online.
Deadline for Submission
The last date for submission of online accreditation applications at both state and district levels is February 9. Journalists have been advised to complete the process well before the deadline to avoid last-minute issues.
