Municipal Election Results: KTR Says BRS Performed Better, Targets Congress and BJP

After Telangana municipal election results, KTR says BRS performed better, praises party workers, accuses Congress and BJP of collusion, and challenges CM Revanth Reddy.

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working President Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) reacted strongly to the Telangana municipal election results, claiming that the BRS delivered a better-than-expected performance. Speaking to the media at Telangana Bhavan, KTR said his party secured good results despite what he alleged was misuse of power by the ruling party.

“BRS Achieved Good Results,” Says KTR

Addressing reporters, KTR said:

  • BRS secured good results in 117 seats
  • Party workers performed strongly at the grassroots level
  • The results reflect the continued strength of BRS in urban local bodies

He congratulated BRS leaders and workers for standing firm during the elections.

Sharp Attack on Congress and BJP

KTR criticised the ruling Congress leadership over their celebrations. He alleged that:

  • There was misuse of power in several districts
  • Congress and BJP worked together in the municipal elections

He dismissed Congress claims of a big victory and said such political statements would not last long.

Challenge to CM Revanth Reddy

Targeting Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, KTR challenged him to:

  • Resign along with rebel MLAs
  • Face the people again through fresh elections

KTR said political strength should be tested only through democratic polls.

Support to CPI in Singareni and Kothagudem

The BRS working president said his party supported the CPI in:

  • Singareni area, to stop Congress and BJP
  • Kothagudem Corporation, as part of a strategic understanding

He added that the fight was aimed at protecting workers’ interests, especially in mining regions.

The Telangana municipal election results reaction from KTR signals that BRS is preparing for a strong political fight ahead, while continuing to challenge the Congress government on governance and democratic accountability.
