Congratulating party leaders and workers, the Minister said the results show overwhelming public confidence in Congress initiatives. He credited a focused welfare push that expanded outreach among urban voters, including:

• Free distribution of fine rice
• Free bus travel for women
• Indiramma housing
• Timely water release for agriculture
• Bumper harvests and record paddy procurement

“These programmes created massive outreach, clearly reflected in the municipal results,” he said.

Stronger Organisation, United Effort

Uttam Kumar Reddy said Congress is now better organised than ever, with united efforts by leaders and cadres translating into a decisive mandate across urban local bodies.

Mid-Term Endorsement of Governance

Calling the outcome a mid-term endorsement of the Congress government since late 2023, the Minister said the party secured dominant leads in most municipalities, with only a few pockets in North Telangana as exceptions.

Highlighting district-wise performance, he said Congress recorded strong victories in Suryapet:

• Huzurnagar: Congress 19/28 wards
• Nereducherla: Congress 9 wards
• Kodad: Congress 26/35 wards
• Suryapet Municipality: Congress 31/48 wards
