Bomb Threat Email Triggers Alert at Shamshabad Airport Again

After the flight landed safely, all passengers were evacuated and shifted to a separate terminal as a precautionary measure. A Bomb Disposal Squad, along with personnel from the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), conducted a thorough search of the aircraft.

Hyderabad: Panic gripped Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad on Saturday after authorities received a bomb threat email claiming that an explosive device had been planted on a flight arriving from Singapore.

Airport officials immediately issued a high-security alert upon receiving the threatening email and initiated emergency protocols to ensure the aircraft’s safe landing.

After the flight landed safely, all passengers were evacuated and shifted to a separate terminal as a precautionary measure. A Bomb Disposal Squad, along with personnel from the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), conducted a thorough search of the aircraft.

Following an extensive inspection, no suspicious object was found. Authorities later declared the threat to be a hoax.

According to police officials, this marks the 23rd false bomb threat received by the Hyderabad airport in the past two months. Many of the threatening emails are believed to have originated from foreign locations.

A case has been registered, and the Cyber Crime Police have launched an investigation to trace the individuals responsible for sending the email.

Airport operations continued as normal after the security clearance was completed.
