Delivering the keynote at the India-AI Impact Summit 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, the Chief Minister invited global technology leaders to collaborate with Telangana across all areas of AI development.

He highlighted that AI represents a transformative shift comparable to historic innovations and called for strong institutional support to harness its potential.

Key Proposals Announced

Revanth Reddy outlined a comprehensive roadmap to position India as a global AI leader.

Major proposals include:

  • Establishment of an India AI Council as a national apex body
  • Creation of a dedicated AI Ministry
  • Launch of a National AI Fund to support startups
  • Setting up an AI Startup Village in Telangana
  • Biannual AI Summits across Indian cities

These initiatives aim to strengthen policy, innovation, and investment ecosystems.

National AI War Room and AI University

The Chief Minister proposed a National AI War Room involving the Centre and states to continuously track global AI developments, offering Hyderabad as the host city.

He also called for a world-class AI University with campuses across India, focused on original research and advanced innovation.

Focus on Manufacturing, Skills, and Jobs

Revanth Reddy stressed the importance of building domestic capabilities across the AI value chain, including chip manufacturing, data infrastructure, and platforms.

He highlighted the need for reskilling and upskilling programmes to ensure AI creates more employment opportunities than it displaces.
