According to sources, a local resident identified as Challam noticed smoke and flames emerging from a window on the upper floor of the office building. He immediately alerted the staff, following which police rushed to the spot and initiated emergency measures.

Even before the arrival of the fire brigade, local residents and students from a nearby boys’ hostel joined hands with office staff and police personnel to douse the flames. Their swift response played a crucial role in preventing the fire from spreading further.

Officials stated that the fire was confined to a storeroom where old materials and unused furniture were kept. Preliminary investigations suggest that the cause of the fire may have been an electrical short circuit. However, a detailed inspection is underway to ascertain the exact cause.
