Medak Collector Makes Surprise Late-Night Visit to Government Hospital

Hyderabad: In a surprise move aimed at assessing public healthcare services, Medak District Collector Rahul Raj visited a government hospital late at night, arriving like an ordinary citizen without prior intimation.
According to official sources, the Collector parked his official vehicle nearly one kilometre away from the Community Health Centre located within Ramayampet municipality limits and walked to the hospital to conduct an unannounced inspection.
After reaching the hospital, Rahul Raj introduced himself to the staff and sought detailed information about the functioning of the facility. He reviewed staff attendance records, examined registers, and assessed overall administrative performance.

The Collector also inspected the medical facilities available to patients and interacted directly with them to understand the quality of treatment and services being provided. He reportedly asked patients about their experience, availability of medicines, and the behaviour of hospital staff.
The surprise visit was aimed at ensuring accountability and improving healthcare delivery at government-run institutions in the district. Officials stated that such inspections would continue to ensure better services for the public.
