Hyderabad: In a significant anti-corruption operation, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) caught two-Armed Reserve Sub Inspectors working at the Cyber Crime Police Station under Malkajgiri Police Commissionerate in LB Nagar while allegedly accepting a ₹1,00,000 bribe.

The officers were identified as Pramod Goud (AO-1) and Jatayatish Babu Naik (AO-2). Both were working as Armed Reserve Sub Inspectors attached to the Cyber Crime Police Station in Malkajgiri.
Bribe Allegedly Demanded to Issue Notice Instead of Arrest
According to the investigation, the accused officers allegedly demanded a ₹1 lakh bribe from a complainant.
The bribe was reportedly sought for:
- Issuing a notice under Section 35 BNSS
- Avoiding immediate arrest in a cybercrime case
- Processing the case in a favourable manner
Officials said AO-1 demanded the bribe, while AO-2 accepted the amount on behalf of both officers.
ACB Trap Leads to Arrest of Officers
During the operation, ACB officials successfully trapped the officers and recovered the tainted bribe amount of ₹1,00,000.

- The bribe money was recovered from AO-2

- Both officers were taken into custody
Authorities stated that the officers misused their official positions to gain illegal benefits.
Officers Produced Before Special Court
Following their arrest in the ACB bribery case involving Cyber Crime Police Station Malkajgiri, both officers will be produced before the Special Judge for SPE & ACB Cases in Nampally.

- The accused will be presented for judicial remand
