Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy attended the Ramzan Iftar 2026 event at LB Stadium in Hyderabad, where he called upon people of all religions to live together with unity and brotherhood and work collectively for the development of the state.

The Ramzan Iftar gathering at LB Stadium was organized by the Minority Welfare Department of the Telangana government, bringing together political leaders, religious scholars, and members of the Muslim community.

During his address at the Ramzan Iftar 2026 event, the Chief Minister highlighted the spiritual importance of the holy month and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to minority welfare in Telangana.

He mentioned several initiatives taken by the government, including:

  • Appointment of former cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin as a minister
  • Appointment of Shabbir Ali as a government advisor
  • Providing DSP-level positions to Indian cricketer Mohammed Siraj and boxing champion Nikhat Zareen
  • Financial support of ₹2 crore to sportspersons
  • Appointment of eight minority leaders as chairpersons of various corporations

He said these steps demonstrate the government’s commitment to ensuring equal opportunities and representation for minorities.

Promoting Communal Harmony in Telangana

The Chief Minister also emphasized that Ramzan strengthens harmony among people of different faiths, including Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, and Christians.

He said the state government aims to ensure that minorities receive a fair share in welfare and development programmes, including opportunities in integrated hostels and other educational initiatives.
