BRS Demands Minister’s Dismissal

The BRS delegation made strong demands against Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy:

  • Activities reportedly took place in restricted zones, including reservoir catchment areas
  • Mining was conducted without required permissions and clearances
  • Allegations also include large-scale land encroachments

The delegation presented documents to support these claims.

Concerns Raised Over Government Response

BRS leaders also criticized the government’s handling of the issue:

  • Alleged that raising the matter in Assembly led to suspension of opposition members
  • Claimed the government failed to address the allegations directly
  • Said notices were issued earlier, indicating acknowledged irregularities

KTR Calls for Independent Probe

Speaking after the meeting, K. T. Rama Rao made strong remarks:

  • Compared the situation to “emergency-like conditions”

  • Necessary steps will be taken based on findings
