Telangana Govt Reviews Tribal Issues, Forest Rights Implementation at Secretariat Meeting

Officials and public representatives deliberated on steps to protect tribal rights and ensure the effective execution of welfare schemes aimed at improving the lives of tribal populations.

Hyderabad:Advisor to the Telangana Government Mohammed Ali Shabbir on Wednesday attended a high-level review meeting at the Secretariat, chaired by Minister for SC & ST Welfare Adluri Laxman Kumar, along with several MLAs.

The meeting focused on concerns regarding alleged high-handed behaviour by forest officials in tribal habitations and issues affecting Scheduled Tribe (ST) communities. Discussions were also held on the implementation of the Forest Rights Act and related policies.

Officials and public representatives deliberated on steps to protect tribal rights and ensure the effective execution of welfare schemes aimed at improving the lives of tribal populations.

The government reiterated its commitment to addressing grievances and strengthening safeguards for tribal communities across the state.
