Hyderabad: Elegans Eagles secured a convincing 7–4 victory against FNCC Lions in the FNCC – Pullela Gopichand Badminton League 2026, held at the Film Nagar Cultural Center (FNCC) on April 11 and 12.
The tournament featured competitive matches across multiple categories, showcasing emerging talent and spirited performances from both teams.
In the Women’s Singles Junior category, Aaryama of Elegans Eagles defeated Aaradhya in a three-set match (09-15, 15-08, 15-12). Kanvika added another win for the Eagles by overcoming Lohitha (15-06, 11-15, 15-12).
FNCC Lions responded strongly in the Women’s Singles, with Rakshitha defeating Shreyanshi (15-12, 15-08), followed by Gatha’s dominant win against Disha Santosh (15-14, 15-03).

In the Men’s Singles Junior, Krishna of FNCC Lions secured a straight-sets victory over Chinmay (15-13, 15-04).
Elegans Eagles, however, dominated the Men’s Singles category. Pranit staged a comeback win against Dayan Santosh (11-15, 15-12, 15-12), while Tazuwala defeated Rohan (15-09, 15-08). Pranav Ram further strengthened the Eagles’ lead with a hard-fought victory over Dattu (15-05, 09-15, 15-11).
In the Mixed Doubles, FNCC Lions’ duo Divyansh and Anushka Anagha edged past Hari and Varna of Elegans Eagles in a closely contested match (15-11, 13-15, 15-11).
Elegans Eagles bounced back in the Women’s Doubles, where Varan and Riddhima defeated Anushka and Anagha (15-11, 15-13).
The Men’s Doubles match proved to be a thrilling encounter, with Krishna and Sai Raman of Elegans Eagles narrowly defeating Ishan and Om (15-07, 10-15, 15-14).
With consistent performances across categories, Elegans Eagles emerged as overall winners, highlighting their dominance and the growing competitive spirit in Hyderabad’s badminton circuit.
