Hyderabad: The Indian Navy has released a notification inviting applications from eligible unmarried male and female candidates for the Short Service Commission (SSC) Information Technology (Executive Branch) course at the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Kerala. The course will commence from January 2027, and a total of 15 vacancies will be filled under the recruitment process. Eligible candidates can apply online from May 16, 2026, and the last date to apply is June 1, 2026.

Indian Navy SSC Executive IT Recruitment 2026 Details

The Indian Navy issued the notification for recruitment into the Short Service Commission (SSC) Executive Information Technology branch at the Indian Naval Academy (INA) in Kerala.

The January 2027 course is open to eligible unmarried male and female candidates.

A total of 15 vacancies will be filled through the recruitment process.

Educational Qualifications Required for Indian Navy SSC IT Jobs

Candidates applying for the SSC Executive (Information Technology) January 2027 course must meet the required educational qualifications.

Applicants should have passed Class X or Intermediate with at least 60 per cent marks in the English subject.

Candidates should also have completed one of the following degrees with at least 60 per cent marks:

  • BCA
  • BSc
  • MCA
  • BE
  • BTech
  • MSc
  • MTech

The degrees should be in the following subjects:

  • Computer Science
  • Information Technology
  • Software Systems
  • Cyber Security
  • Data Analytics
  • Artificial Intelligence

Candidates who are currently studying in the final year are also eligible to apply.

Age Limit for Indian Navy SSC Recruitment 2026

Applicants must be born between January 1, 2002 and July 1, 2007.

Only candidates falling within this age limit are eligible for the recruitment process.

Indian Navy SSC Selection Process and Salary Details

Candidates will be shortlisted based on their educational qualifications.

The shortlisted candidates will undergo:

  • Interviews
  • Document verification
  • Medical examination

There will be no written test for the recruitment process.

Selected candidates will receive a starting salary of Rs 56,100 per month along with other allowances.

Training at Indian Naval Academy Ezhimala

The selected candidates will undergo six weeks of training at Ezhimala in Kerala.

Candidates are not allowed to get married during the training period.

According to the notification, if a candidate marries during training, they will be removed from the programme.

NCC Candidates to Get Additional Weightage

NCC candidates possessing a ‘C’ certificate or at least a ‘B’ grade will receive 5 per cent weightage in the cut-off marks.

The Indian Navy also stated that selected candidates will have the option to extend their service tenure for an initial period of 10 years and an additional four years based on requirements.

Eligible candidates can submit online applications from May 16, 2026.

The last date to apply online is June 1, 2026.
