Telangana Aims for $1 Trillion Economy
CM Reddy urged the public and private sectors to collaborate in achieving a $1 trillion state economy. He noted that Telangana is delivering balanced growth through investment promotion, job creation, infrastructure development, and welfare schemes.
“Our administration is focused on economic expansion, empowering youth, women, farmers, and entrepreneurs. Telangana has emerged as a frontrunner in attracting global and domestic investments,” he said.

Record Investments and Job Creation Since 2023
Since coming to power in December 2023, the Telangana government has:
- Attracted ₹3 lakh crore in new investments
- Created over 1 lakh new jobs
- Secured ₹1.78 lakh crore in investments at Davos 2025, making it the No.1 investment destination in India
Major Infrastructure & Innovation Projects Announced
Reddy outlined several future-ready initiatives, including:
- AI City and an upcoming AI University to lead in artificial intelligence and machine learning
- Dry port infrastructure and connectivity with Andhra ports
- Young India Skills program, sports universities, and residential schools in 100 constituencies
Hyderabad: Global Hub for Tech and Industry
The Chief Minister highlighted Hyderabad’s evolution into a global technology and industrial hub, with expansions by Microsoft, Infosys, HCL Tech, Wipro, and Cognizant. Hyderabad is also becoming a base for:
- Software and life sciences
- Data centers
- Manufacturing and Global Capability Centres (GCCs)
AI and Machine Learning: Telangana’s Future Focus
IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu reaffirmed the government’s push to position Telangana as a world leader in AI and ML. Plans include:
- Partnering with global tech firms like Microsoft for AI City
- Launching an AI University for training global talent
- Integrating AI into civic services for doorstep governance
“Hyderabad is already home to numerous Global Capability Centres. We aim to transform these into Global Value-Added Centres,” the Minister added.
Social Welfare and Inclusive Development
The Telangana government is prioritizing inclusive policies:
- Empowering 66 lakh women through Self-Help Groups
- Funding youth-led businesses via Rajiv Yuva Vikas
- Recruiting transgender volunteers into the Hyderabad Traffic Force — a national first
Telangana Hosts World-Class Events Like Miss World
Reddy announced that Telangana is hosting the Miss World contest, underscoring the state’s ambition to organize global-scale events and boost its international image.
CM Revanth Reddy Praises Virat Kohli’s Legacy
On the sidelines of the event, CM Reddy praised cricket legend Virat Kohli, following his retirement from Test cricket.
“Virat Kohli’s name will remain etched in Indian cricket history. His discipline and commitment are an inspiration for young cricketers,” said the Chief Minister.
