AICTE ATAL Academy Sponsored FDP on Explainable and Responsible AI for Healthcare Concludes at MJCET

The valedictory ceremony featured the final technical session by Prof. Salman Abdul Moiz, Professor, University of Hyderabad, who also graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He emphasized the growing importance of Explainable and Responsible AI in advancing ethical, transparent, and trustworthy healthcare solutions.

Hyderabad: The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science), Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Technology (MJCET), Hyderabad, successfully concluded the AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy Sponsored Six-Day Offline Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Explainable and Responsible AI for Healthcare: From Medical Imaging to Generative AI Systems” held from 06–11 July 2026.

The valedictory ceremony featured the final technical session by Prof. Salman Abdul Moiz, Professor, University of Hyderabad, who also graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He emphasized the growing importance of Explainable and Responsible AI in advancing ethical, transparent, and trustworthy healthcare solutions.

Prof. Ferhatullah Hussainy, Dean, Student Affairs & Controller of Examinations (Autonomous), and Mr. K. V. Narsimha Rao, Registrar, MJCET, congratulated the organizers and participants, highlighting the significance of continuous faculty development in emerging technologies.

Presenting the FDP report, Prof. Syed Shabber Ahmad, Head, Department of CSED and FDP Coordinator, noted that the programme successfully trained 50 registered participants, including 42 faculty members from non-host institutions, through expert lectures, interactive sessions, and hands-on learning.

Dr. Maniza Hijab, Head, Department of CSED, appreciated the efforts of the organizing team and encouraged participants to apply the knowledge gained in teaching and research. Faculty members from non-host institutions shared positive feedback, appreciating the quality of the sessions and overall organization.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Syeda Fouzia Sayeedunnisa, Associate Head, Department of CSED and Co-Coordinator of the ATAL FDP, who expressed gratitude to AICTE ATAL Academy, the resource persons, management, organizers, and participants for making the programme a grand success.
