Vandana Singh, a 2012-batch IAS officer of the Uttarakhand cadre, has had a distinguished career. Hailing from Haryana, she excelled academically and secured a notable rank in the UPSC exam at a young age. Throughout her tenure, she has held various administrative positions, including Chief Development Officer of Pithoragarh and District Magistrate of Rudraprayag, Almora, and currently Nainital.
The recent unrest in Haldwani, however, has cast a shadow over her reputation.
