Aster Prime Hospital, Ameerpet, Safeguards 1,000 Young Athletes with First Aid and Health Screening at Khelo Bharat Event
The initiative was organised in coordination by Sri P. Sunil Kumar, National President, Abhinava Bharatam Society and MY BHARAT, Hyderabad, and was aimed at ensuring the health, safety and overall well-being of children participating in the event.
Aster Volunteers from Aster Prime Hospital, Ameerpet, extended comprehensive medical support by providing First Aid assistance and Preventive Health Screening during the three-day Khelo Bharat – Atal Bihari Vajpayee Sports League held at the GHMC Grounds in Sanath Nagar, Hyderabad.
The initiative was organised in coordination by Sri P. Sunil Kumar, National President, Abhinava Bharatam Society and MY BHARAT, Hyderabad, and was aimed at ensuring the health, safety and overall well-being of children participating in the event.
Throughout the duration of the sports league, the medical team from Aster Prime Hospital provided continuous on-ground first aid support, injury care and emergency response services.
In addition, preventive health screening was conducted for approximately 1,000 children, offering basic health evaluations, Pulmonary Function Test, Eye Check-up and medical guidance to help identify potential health concerns at an early stage.
The presence of trained medical professionals ensured immediate assistance in case of injuries and contributed significantly to maintaining a safe sporting environment.
Speaking about the initiative, a spokesperson from Aster Prime Hospital said that sports play a vital role in shaping the physical and emotional strength of young individuals, and safeguarding their health during such events is of utmost importance. The spokesperson added that the hospital was proud to support an event that not only promotes sportsmanship but also encourages a culture of health awareness among children.
The successful execution of the medical camp highlighted Aster’s commitment to community welfare and public health outreach. By ensuring timely medical intervention, preventive screening and continuous healthcare monitoring, the initiative strengthened medical preparedness at youth sporting events and reinforced the importance of safe sports participation under the Khelo Bharat programme.
