Aster Prime Hospital Organizes Free Mega Health Screening Camp for Telangana State Special Police
Aster Prime Hospital, Ameerpet, in collaboration with the Telangana State Special Police (TGSP), conducted a Free Mega Health Screening Camp on Friday under its social outreach initiative Aster Volunteers – Powered by Humanity.

Hyderabad: Aster Prime Hospital, Ameerpet, in collaboration with the Telangana State Special Police (TGSP), conducted a Free Mega Health Screening Camp on Friday under its social outreach initiative Aster Volunteers – Powered by Humanity. The camp was held at the Unit Hospital in Yousufguda from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
The health camp was formally inaugurated by Shri Murali Krishna, Commandant – 1st Battalion, TGSP, who appreciated the hospital’s initiative to provide specialized healthcare services to police personnel. He highlighted the importance of regular medical check-ups for police forces who work under high-pressure and demanding conditions to ensure public safety.
A total of 120 TGSP personnel benefited from the comprehensive health screening services offered during the camp.
The medical camp featured an extensive range of diagnostic tests including Blood Pressure monitoring, Random Blood Sugar testing, ECG, 2D Echo, Bone Mineral Density (BMD) assessment, Pulmonary Function Test (PFT), Hand Doppler examination, and Eye Check-ups. Specialist consultations were also provided across multiple departments such as Cardiology, Gynecology, Gastroenterology, Orthopedics, General Medicine, and Vascular Surgery.

The team of doctors who participated in the initiative included Dr. Tanuja (Consultant Gynaecologist), Dr. Sreedhar (Consultant Orthopedic Specialist), Dr. Pranay (Consultant Vascular Surgeon), and Dr. Harsha Theja (Consultant Gastroenterologist).
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Murali Krishna stated, “Our police personnel work under demanding and high-pressure conditions to ensure public safety. Regular health monitoring is essential to maintain their physical and mental well-being. We appreciate Aster Prime Hospital for organizing this comprehensive health screening camp and for their commitment towards preventive healthcare for our force.”
The initiative aimed to promote preventive healthcare, facilitate early diagnosis of medical conditions, and raise awareness about lifestyle-related health risks among police personnel. Participants were also counseled on maintaining fitness, stress management, and the importance of periodic medical evaluations.
