Babul Supriyo Dismisses Madhur Bhushan’s Claims About Kishore Kumar and Madhubala

Mumbai: The love story between the late actress Madhubala and legendary singer-actor Kishore Kumar has always been a subject of intrigue and public interest. However, recent claims made by Madhubala’s sister, Madhur Bhushan, regarding the singer’s actions during the actress’ final days have sparked a heated response from singer and politician Babul Supriyo.

Madhur Bhushan alleged that Kishore Kumar distanced himself from Madhubala during her last days and ignored her calls. In response, Babul Supriyo took to Instagram to fiercely reject these claims.

Babul Supriyo’s Strong Denial

On his official Instagram handle, Babul shared a screenshot of an article featuring Madhur Bhushan’s statement with the headline, “Kishore Kumar left Madhubala alone in her dying days, he ignored her calls, reveals actress’ sister Madhur Bhushan.”

Refuting the allegations, Babul wrote, “Absolute lies…!!! @Madhurji, Madhubalaji’s sister talks & talks & talks & talks & talks and most of them are lies unless there is someone who confronts her there & then.” He also referred to Madhur Bhushan’s studio, ‘MadhurDhwani,’ claiming that her “talking skills” resulted in unnecessary extended studio hours, further criticizing her character.

Babul Supriyo’s Version of Events

Babul Supriyo then shared his perspective on the situation, asserting that Madhubala had a heart problem and that Kishore Kumar’s residence in Juhu was located near a flight path, which caused her distress due to low-flying planes. According to Supriyo, this led to Madhubala being moved from Kishore Kumar’s home to her ancestral house. He also recounted an alleged argument between a senior musician and Madhur Bhushan, challenging her version of events.

Babul continued to condemn Madhur Bhushan’s statements, stating, “It is very ‘Madhurji-like’ to rake such false filth about Kishore Kumar & Madhubalaji when both are not here to defend or share the truth with their fans.”

Publicity Claims

Concluding his post, Babul Supriyo accused Madhur Bhushan of attempting to seek publicity, labeling her comments as “deplorable” and “nauseating.” He further emphasized that there was no truth to the claims and criticized the attempt to tarnish the legacy of both Kishore Kumar and Madhubala.

He wrapped up with the hashtag #DeplorableNauseating, asserting that the comments were nothing more than an effort to gain attention.
