Big B Breaks Silence on Pahalgam Attack and Hails Operation Sindoor
Amitabh Bachchan had faced significant criticism for not publicly commenting on the Pahalgam attack in Jammu and Kashmir, which took place on April 22 and resulted in the brutal massacre of 26 innocent civilians by the Pakistan-backed terrorist group, The Resistance Front (TRF). However, on May 11, he broke his silence, praising Operation Sindoor—a precise retaliatory strike carried out by the Indian armed forces.
While his post contained a stirring tribute to the courage of Indian jawans and referenced his father’s words, Amitabh chose not to mention Prime Minister Narendra Modi directly in his message.
What Is Operation Sindoor?
Operation Sindoor refers to the strategic retaliatory actions taken by the Indian armed forces on May 7, targeting nine major terror installations across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. These strikes were seen as a response to the growing terror threats emanating from across the border.
