Bird Flu in City: Thousands of Chickens Died, Chicken Shops Closed in Andhra Pradesh

Nellore District, Andhra Pradesh: An outbreak of bird flu has struck the Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh, resulting in the death of thousands of chickens across various areas.
Additionally, samples of chicken have been sent to Bhopal by officials from the Department of Animal Husbandry for testing. The areas most affected by the bird flu outbreak include Chittagong and Gamal Diba in Nellore.
In response, Collector Hari Narayan has issued orders for the closure of chicken shops within a ten-kilometer radius of any location where poultry is succumbing to bird flu for three days. Furthermore, chicken shops within one kilometer of affected areas are mandated to remain closed for three months.
District Collector Hari Narayan has also recommended burying deceased chickens in the ground as a precautionary measure. He emphasized the importance of informing the public about bird flu and advising them to take necessary precautions.
