Hyderabad: Political tension was witnessed in Kamareddy district of Telangana when a fierce clash took place between Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress workers. During the incident, BJP workers have been accused of vandalizing the car of a senior Congress leader.
According to reports, the tension started when former sarpanch and Congress leader Giri Reddy Mahendra Reddy approached the camp office of BJP Kamareddy MLA Venkata Ramanna Reddy and raised slogans of “MLA down down”. The police present at the spot took Mahendra Reddy into custody to bring the situation under control.
After this, a clash broke out between BJP and Congress workers. It is alleged that during this, BJP workers damaged the car of Congress leader Mahendra Reddy. During the police intervention, there was a scuffle between the workers and the police, which further escalated the situation.
Later, the police dispersed the crowd present at the spot. The situation in the area is currently being reported to be under control, while the police are busy with a full investigation into the incident.
