BRS MLA’s brother arrested for illegal mining activities

Gudem Madhusudan Reddy, the brother of BRS MLA Gudem Mahipal Reddy, was apprehended on Friday on charges of fraud and illegal mining.

Sangareddy: Gudem Madhusudan Reddy, the brother of BRS MLA Gudem Mahipal Reddy, was apprehended on Friday on charges of fraud and illegal mining.

Madhusudan Reddy is accused of operating a company named Santosh Sand and Granites and carrying out mining operations exceeding permissible limits, contravening central environmental regulations.

Acting on a complaint filed by the Tahsildar, the Patancheru police took him into custody in the early hours of Friday.

Following Madhusudan Reddy’s arrest, a large number of his supporters and BRS activists gathered at the police station in protest.

During Madhusudhan’s transportation to the hospital for a medical checkup under police custody, BRS activists raised objections. In response, the police diverted the route to Sangareddy to avoid confrontation. Attempts by the activists to access the hospital heightened tensions in the area.
