After Losing Power, BRS Spreading Poison Against Congress: Minister’s Sharp Attack

Wardhannapet (Warangal): Revenue, Information and Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Monday launched development works worth ₹294 crore in Wardhannapet town, strongly criticising Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leaders for “spreading poison” against the Congress after losing power. The large-scale projects were inaugurated under the leadership of Revanth Reddy, signalling a renewed push for infrastructure and welfare in the constituency.

₹294 Crore Projects Launched in Wardhannapet

The foundation stone was laid for multiple public infrastructure works aimed at improving education, sports, civic amenities, and justice delivery. The projects include:

  • Integrated Residential School
  • Mini Stadium
  • Open Gym Centre
  • Sub Jail
  • Municipal Court
  • Drainage Network
  • CC Roads across key areas

People’s Government Working Round the Clock

Addressing a public meeting in Wardhannapet, Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said the Congress-led people’s government is working 24/7 for public welfare. He noted that beneficial schemes from the previous government are being continued while new initiatives are being added to accelerate development.

New Housing Sanctions from April

The Minister announced that new houses will be sanctioned again in April, with three more houses set to be approved, reinforcing the government’s commitment to housing and urban development in Wardhannapet and Warangal district.

₹1.30 Crore Support for Constituency Development

Kadiyam Kavya stated that ₹1.30 crore has been allocated to the Wardhannapet constituency at the request of K R Nagaraju, assuring continued support for local development and constituency-centre works.

Strong Political Remarks at Public Meeting

Speaking on the occasion, MLA K R Nagaraju alleged that former minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao, who served multiple terms as MLA, MP and minister, had not allowed leadership to grow in the region. He also raised concerns about renewed political pressure on the Wardhannapet Municipality.

The event was attended by Satya Sarada, Additional Collector Sandhya Rani, Municipal Commissioner Sudheer Babu, Tahsildar Vijay Sagar, MPDO Venkataramana, former TESCAB Chairman Marneni Ravinder Rao, DCC President Ayub, and other leaders.
