CM Chandrababu Naidu Visits Site, Reviews Damage

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu personally visited the site and conducted a thorough inspection of the affected area. He held a review meeting on the spot, where Chief Secretary K.S. Jawahar Reddy, DGP Harish Kumar Gupta, Fire Services DG Madireddy Pratap, and GAD Secretary Mukesh Kumar Meena briefed him on the incident.

Fire Under Control, No Casualties Reported

The fire department acted swiftly and managed to control the flames before they could spread to other sections of the building. Thankfully, no casualties have been reported, but a detailed assessment is underway to evaluate the extent of property damage.

Fire Linked to Power Backup Batteries

Initial findings indicate that the fire was triggered in a room housing batteries for power backup systems. Authorities believe a possible short circuit or overheating could have caused the incident.

Ministers’ Offices Affected in Block 2

Block 2 houses the offices of several high-ranking ministers, including Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, Minister Payyavula Keshav, Nadendla Manohar, Vangalapudi Anitha, Kandula Durgesh, and Anam Ramanarayana Reddy. Their offices are now being evaluated for fire and smoke damage.

Government to Launch Full Investigation

The state government is expected to initiate a comprehensive investigation into the fire to rule out any foul play and ensure the safety of critical government infrastructure in the future. CM Chandrababu has also instructed departments to implement enhanced fire safety protocols.
