Revanth Reddy said Hyderabad is one of the safest metro cities in India, but warned that ignoring environmental issues could create problems for future generations.

He stressed the importance of:

• Removing encroachments on lakes and drains
• Preventing pollution
• Restoring the Musi River

The Chief Minister noted that protecting water bodies is essential to avoid flooding and environmental damage in the future.

HYDRAA Initiative Restoring Lakes Across Hyderabad

The Chief Minister acknowledged that when HYDRAA was launched, it faced criticism. However, he said the results of the Nalla Cheruvu restoration in Kukatpally have proven the importance of the initiative.

He questioned why Hyderabad should not also develop the Musi Riverfront to enhance the city’s growth and environment.
