Hyderabad: Chief Minister Telangana K Chandrasekhara Rao today demanded the Centre to lift all cases on farmers, give Rs 25 lakhs ex-gratia to kin of deceased farmers and provide MSP through a new act.

He told in a press conference at Pragati Bhavan here that the Modi government finally opened its eyes by stating to repealing three farm laws.

We welcome the Modi Government decision after giving bitter experience to farmers on protests at national capital region of lathi charges, water cannons and curbs. Else the TRS party MPs will storm parliament for the same and Paddy, he warned.

He opposed the new power laws by the centre that presses the states to burden farmers with electricity meters. KCR Government also sought the centre for a Tribunal binder section 3 to address Krishna and Godavari water share row among Telugu states in a time bound manner. Else the TRS party MPs will protest in parliament and outside with other parties.

The centre failed to support farmers to get freedom and finally repealed the three farm laws, he said.
