CM Revanth Reddy to launch free travel for women in RTC buses tomorrow

Women, girls and transgender can travel free of cost in Palle Velugu and express bus services. Free travel will also be applicable on city ordinary and metro expresses running in Hyderabad. Apart from women, girl students and third genders can also travel free of cost.
TSRTC MD VC Sajjanar, along with senior officials told media persons at Bus Bhavan on Friday on the implementation of the free bus travel scheme for women. Free travel guidelines for women were explained by him.
He said Chief Minister Revanth Reddy would launch the free travel scheme for women at 1.30 pm on Saturday on the Assembly premises. He said soon after the CM inaugurates it, free bus travel would be made available to women across the State from 2 pm on Saturday.
Free travel for women will be available in Palle Velugu, Express, City Ordinary and Metro Express services; it is applicable only to women residents of Telangana State.
Identity cards should be shown to conductors during travel for locality verification; there are no restrictions on the range of travel of kilometres; zero ticket will be granted to every woman travelling; for inter-state services, free travel is applicable only within Telangana limits.
