
Munsif News 24×7 | Hyderabad: With a drop in temperatures across Telangana, the Director of Public Health has issued a health advisory warning people against seasonal flu, which tends to spread rapidly during cold weather. Officials cautioned that the fall in temperature can trigger respiratory problems and infections of the breathing tract, especially among vulnerable groups.

Seasonal Flu Risk Rises During Cold Weather
According to the advisory, seasonal influenza spreads quickly and can cause severe and contagious respiratory infections. Common symptoms include:
- Fever
- Cough
- Sore throat
- Body pain
- Fatigue and weakness
Health officials said the infection spreads easily through coughing and sneezing, increasing the risk in crowded places.

The Director of Public Health, Dr. B. Ravinder Naik, warned that seasonal flu can be dangerous for certain groups, including:

Such individuals are advised to seek immediate medical attention if flu-like symptoms appear.

Health experts stated that in most cases, seasonal flu symptoms subside within a week with proper rest and care.
Recommended measures include:

- Drinking plenty of water and fruit juices
- Maintaining good nutrition
