Hyderabad: BRS working president and former Minister K T Rama Rao expressed disappointment on Saturday, stating that the Congress government’s choice to cancel the Formula E race reflects a regression.

Reacting to the decision on Twitter, KTR commented, “This is truly a poor and regressive decision by the Congress Government.

Events like the Hyderabad E-Prix enhance the brand image of our city and country worldwide. We invested significant effort and time to bring the Formula E-Prix to India for the first time.”

“In a world where sustainability has become the focus and buzzword, the KCR Government had taken the initiative to leverage the Formula E Race as an occasion to conduct a week-long EV Summit, attracting EV enthusiasts, manufacturers, and startups to showcase Hyderabad as an attractive investment destination.

We also launched the Telangana Mobility Valley to promote the state as the epicenter for sustainable mobility solutions.”
