Congress Holds Massive Protest Dharna Near Golconda Fort Against BJP Government Policies
Congress leaders reiterated their commitment to continue the struggle for the protection of people’s rights and to oppose unemployment, inflation and policies they say are affecting the common people across the country.

Hyderabad: The Indian National Congress organized a massive protest dharna near the historic Golconda Fort against what it termed the anti-people and failed policies of the Bharatiya Janata Party government.
The protest was conducted under the guidance of Mahesh Kumar Goud, President of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee. The demonstration was led by Congress leader and Karwan Assembly Constituency In-charge Osman Bin Mohammed Al Hajri, with a large number of party workers and supporters participating in the protest.
Addressing the gathering, Congress leaders alleged that due to the central government’s flawed foreign policy and poor economic management, the country is facing a serious economic crisis. They said the ongoing shortage of LPG gas has forced many hotels and restaurants to shut down, affecting thousands of workers and small business owners. They also expressed concern over rising unemployment, stating that it has created uncertainty among the youth and increased the difficulties of common people.
The leaders further stated that Rahul Gandhi has repeatedly raised his voice in Parliament and public forums against rising inflation, unemployment, and policies that they claim are harmful to the public. According to them, responsible and people-centric policies are essential to strengthen the country’s economy, generate employment opportunities, and ensure the availability of essential commodities for citizens.
They also highlighted that under the leadership of A. Revanth Reddy, the state government in Telangana is implementing several welfare schemes aimed at improving the lives of people while also raising concerns over policies of the central government that affect the public.
Among those who attended the protest were Khalid Saifullah, President of Hyderabad District Congress Committee; Shaikh Akbar, In-charge of Malakpet Assembly Constituency; Shambula Ushasri, Khairatabad DCC President; Ashfaq Khan, Vice Chairman of TPCC Minority Department; and Abdullah Bin Osman Al Hajri, Khairatabad District Vice President.
Several other Congress leaders and workers including C.H. Shankar, J. Ravinder, Iqbal Khalu, Shaikh Parvez, Laddu Khan (Golconda), Ilyas Khan, Mohammed Habeeb, Shura Khan, Salam Ba Qindwaan, Abdullah Saadi, Salam Bin Ali Al Hajri, Ali Bin Osman Al Hajri, Santosh Goud, Santosh Chari, Arun Kumar, Osama Bin Osman Al Hajri and Sai, along with a large number of party workers, participated in the protest and strongly criticised the policies of the central government.
