Hyderabad: To strengthen public safety and curb criminal activities, a cordon and search operation was conducted in the Rain Bazaar police station limits of Hyderabad’s Old City under the supervision of Kiran Khare Prabhakar, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Charminar Zone.

142 Police Personnel Check Around 300 Houses
During the operation:
- 142 police personnel were deployed
- Around 300 houses were thoroughly checked
- Verification of residents, vehicles, and surroundings was carried out
The police focused on identifying suspicious activities and ensuring law and order in the locality.
37 Two-Wheelers Seized for Violations
As part of the checks, police seized 37 two-wheelers for:
- Lack of proper documents
- Missing or invalid number plates
Vehicle owners were advised to comply with traffic and legal requirements.
Rowdy-Sheeters and Suspects Counselling
Police also took preventive action by:
- Detaining 6 rowdy-sheeters
- Picking up 9 suspected persons for questioning
All of them were later counselled and warned to stay away from illegal activities.
Illegal Items Seized During Operation
The police seized several illegal items, including:
- 3 gas cylinders used for illegal refilling
- 5 packets of ganja
- 1 hookah
- 3 knives
These seizures highlight ongoing efforts to crack down on illegal activities in the Old City.
