Credicon Mavericks Clinch Inaugural Hyderabad Pickleball League Title in Thrilling Finale

The inaugural season of the Hyderabad Pickleball League (HPL) concluded on a high note as Credicon Mavericks emerged as champions, defeating All Stars 4–3 in a gripping tiebreaker in the final match at The League, Financial District.

The dramatic showdown marked the first-ever title victory in HPL history.

Nearly 2,000 fans witnessed the intense finale, highlighting the rapid rise of pickleball as a popular sport in Hyderabad. Credicon Mavericks lifted the championship trophy and claimed a cash prize of ₹6 lakh, while All Stars earned ₹3 lakh as runners-up.

Adding to the spectacle, the event featured a half-time performance by legendary singer Lucky Ali and his band, creating a festival-like atmosphere for attendees.

Yashwanth Biyyala, Co-Founder of Centre Court Sport & Entertainment and the HPL, reflected on the season’s success: “This finale captured everything HPL stands for—intensity, community, and entertainment. Watching the match go down to a tiebreaker in front of nearly 2,000 passionate fans was truly special. Credicon Mavericks becoming our first champions marks the beginning of a strong sporting legacy for pickleball in Hyderabad.”

Individual accolades were also presented during the night. Vijay Tej of Teramor Titans was named Rising Star (Male), while Veda from All Stars received Rising Star (Female). Nikhil of Teramor Titans earned Best Male Player, and Niharika from The Raptors was named Best Female Player. The Most Valuable Player (MVP) award went to Sameer Varma of All Stars for his consistent performance throughout the season.

Speaking about his MVP award, Varma said, “Being recognised as MVP in the inaugural season of HPL is extremely special. This league provides players with a professional platform to compete at a high level while connecting with fans and the community.”

With a packed arena, memorable performances, and a championship match that blended sport and entertainment, HPL Season 1 has set a strong foundation for the growth of pickleball in Hyderabad and beyond.
