Deeksharambh Programme concludes at MANUU
Dr. K. M. Ziauddin, Deputy Dean, Students Welfare, Chairman Students Induction Programme (SIP), Maulana Azad National Urdu University expressed these views yesterday in the concluding session of Deeksharambh.
Hyderabad: “Students should also participate in sports and cultural activities beside learning in the classroom with enthusiasm. Their all-round development will be incomplete without these activities. Sports is also important to keep oneself healthy and focussed. Our university has all the necessary sports facilities. With the services coaches for various sports, students can make their career in sports also.”
Dr. K. M. Ziauddin, Deputy Dean, Students Welfare, Chairman Students Induction Programme (SIP), Maulana Azad National Urdu University expressed these views yesterday in the concluding session of Deeksharambh.
Dr. Kaleemullah, Deputy Director, Directorate of Physical Education and Sports informed the students about the sports facilities in the university and the importance of maintaining discipline.
He also informed that MANUU students get the opportunity to directly participate at zonal level competitions while students from other institutions have to go through tough competition.
Dr. Firdous Tabasum, Assistant Professor Physical Education conducted proceedings. Sports Committee members Mr. Habeeb Ahmed, Museum Curator, Mr. Amir Badar, Producer and coaches of Cricket, Football and Badminton were also present.
Mentorship, Career counselling, introduction to various departments of the university, internal complaints committee and rules, lectures on gender sensitivity, gender and law, awareness of local culture and traditions etc., were part of activities during 6-day SIP started on September 5.
Various programs were organized and the newly admitted students were encouraged to carry out their academic activities with more responsibility and dutifulness.
