Job Promise Led to Crime
Police said the accused, Rambharos, also known as Rajendra Sisodia, called the minor and her brother to his house on December 15, claiming he could help them get a job. After sending the girl’s brother to the market, he allegedly sexually assaulted the girl inside the house.
When the victim screamed, locals gathered near the residence. Taking advantage of the chaos, the accused fled the spot.
Case Registered, Accused Went Absconding
Based on the victim’s complaint, police registered a case and launched a search. During the investigation, officers learned that the accused changed his appearance repeatedly and moved across Agra, Lucknow, and Gwalior to avoid arrest.
Arrested in Disguise at Vrindavan
Police later received inputs that Rajendra Sisodia was hiding in Vrindavan, Mathura district. A team reached the location and arrested him while he was wearing a burqa and lipstick, allegedly to conceal his identity and escape detection.
Booked Under POCSO Act
Officials confirmed that the accused had served with the Rajasthan Armed Constabulary and has been booked under the POCSO Act. A police official also said that the accused had faced allegations of sexual assault in the past. He has since been suspended, and further investigation is underway.
Police Assure Strict Action
Senior officers stated that strict legal action will be taken and that attempts to evade the law will not help offenders. Police are also verifying whether the accused is linked to other similar cases.
