Dr. Jyothi Buddha Prakash Assumes Charge as CMD of Singareni

Singareni Bhavan, February 12, 2026: Senior IAS officer Dr. Jyothi Buddha Prakash, recently appointed as the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Singareni Collieries Company Limited, formally assumed charge on Thursday morning at Singareni Bhavan in Hyderabad.

Upon his arrival, Dr. Jyothi Buddha Prakash was welcomed by General Manager (Coordination & Marketing), Sri T. Srinivas. He later took over his official responsibilities in the Chairman’s office.

On the occasion, the company’s Directors — Director (Operations) Sri L. V. Suryanarayana, Director (Projects & Planning) Sri K. Venkateshwarlu, Director (Personnel & Finance) Sri Gowtham Potru, and Executive Director (Coal Movement) Sri B. Venkanna — congratulated the new Chairman by presenting bouquets. The Directors also briefed him on the overall functioning and operations of Singareni Collieries.

Dr. Jyothi Buddha Prakash is a senior IAS officer of the 2002 batch. Prior to this appointment, he served as Secretary, Scheduled Castes Development Department, and also held key responsibilities as Secretary to the State Planning Department.

Earlier in his career, he worked in various capacities in regions where Singareni coal mines are located. He has also served as the District Collector of Adilabad and as the ITDA Project Officer in Bhadrachalam, earning recognition for his administrative experience and leadership.
