Eid Meet & Greet program by JIH: A Celebration of Unity and Harmony by Rasia Nayeem Hashmi
The Women’s Wing of the Public Relations Department, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Greater Hyderabad, organized a vibrant Eid Meet & Greet program on Saturday, 4th of March 2026, at Media Plus Auditorium, Abids. under the theme “Bridging Hearts, Building Harmony.

Hyderabad: The Women’s Wing of the Public Relations Department, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Greater Hyderabad, organized a vibrant Eid Meet & Greet program on Saturday, 4th of March 2026, at Media Plus Auditorium, Abids. under the theme “Bridging Hearts, Building Harmony.
” The gathering brought together women from diverse backgrounds, emphasizing unity, mutual respect, and communal harmony.
The Eid Milap programme commenced with a soulful Tilawat and Tarjuma presented by Mrs. Fatima, Mrs. Ayesha, This was followed by a melodious Tarana performed by Mrs. Afshan Khaleel and Mrs. Ayesha Farooq.
Delivering the inaugural address, Mrs Asma Zarzari, City Secretary of JIH Women’s Wing, highlighted the importance of unity in today’s society, urging participants to actively strive for communal harmony. The session was skillfully moderated by Dr. Sameena Faheem Hashmi, who guided the program with grace and clarity.
A unique segment engaged participants by inviting them to pick slogans and speak for one minute on chosen topics. The women expressed their thoughts eloquently on themes such as kindness, unity and collective strength. Their speeches reflected a strong message: Unity in diversity.
The event witnessed the participation of numerous distinguished guests, including professors, advocates, doctors, academicians, social workers, and NGO representatives. Notably, many non-Muslim women attended the gathering and expressed heartfelt appreciation for being invited.
They emphasized the message of unity, stating that Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, and Christians are all one, and called for peaceful coexistence.

A reverted Muslim speaker also shared her inspiring journey, adding depth and inclusivity to the occasion.
A non Muslim sister, in her song, called Mohammed peace be upon him as the panacea of broken hearts.
In her concluding address, Mrs Zaheer Fatima Saheba, Member Advisory Council, JIH.
described the gathering as a “beautiful bouquet” of diverse individuals united for a noble cause. She encouraged women to promote peace starting from their homes and to stand united against oppression and social evils.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs Umme Ammara ,PR Core Committee member while Mrs. Arshiya Muddassir , Public Relation Secretary, City Hyd. JIH ,Women’s Wing served as the convenor. The event ended on a warm note with dua and the serving of traditional sheer khurma, celebrating the spirit of Eid and togetherness.
The gathering strongly echoed the message: “United we stand, divided we fall,” reinforcing that unity is the need of the hour.
