New Delhi: Hockey India has announced a 32-member men’s squad ahead of the Bhubaneswar leg of the FIH Pro League 2024-25, which will take place at the Kalinga Hockey Stadium. The squad includes exciting new call-ups for young talents Angad Bir Singh and Arshdeep Singh, who have both earned their first senior team selections following impressive performances in the junior team and the ongoing Hockey India League.

Team Leadership and Key Players
Veteran drag-flicker Harmanpreet Singh will continue to lead the Indian team, with Hardik Singh serving as his deputy. India’s campaign will begin with matches against Spain, Germany, Ireland, and England, scheduled from February 15 to 25. Each team will play India twice during the round-robin phase.

Goalkeepers and Defenders
The squad will feature experienced goalkeeper Krishan Bahadur Pathak, along with Suraj Karkera and Princedeep Singh. Defenders include Jarmanpreet Singh, Amit Rohidas, Captain Harmanpreet Singh, Sumit, Sanjay, Jugraj Singh, Nilam Sanjeep Xess, Varun Kumar, and Yashdeep Siwach.
Midfield and Forwards
In the midfield, key players include Rajkumar Pal, Shamsher Singh, Manpreet Singh, Vice Captain Hardik Singh, Vivek Sagar Prasad, Nilakanta Sharma, Moirangthem Rabichandra Singh, and Rajinder Singh. The forward line will feature Abhishek, Sukhjeet Singh, Lalit Kumar Upadhyay, Mandeep Singh, Gurjant Singh, Boby Singh Dhami, Shilanand Lakra, Dilpreet Singh, Araijeet Singh Hundal, Uttam Singh, alongside the new call-ups Angad Bir Singh and Arshdeep Singh.

Indian Men’s Team Head Coach Craig Fulton expressed his satisfaction with the selected squad, stating, “I’m extremely happy with the squad we have selected for the upcoming Bhubaneswar leg matches of the FIH Pro League 2024-25.
