CM Revanth Reddy Highlights Sporting Spirit, Praises Azharuddin and Cabinet Colleagues at LB Stadium

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Saturday highlighted the importance of sportsmanship, discipline, and youth development while addressing a gathering at Lal Bahadur Stadium.

The Chief Minister praised Mohammad Azharuddin, stating that his journey from a celebrated cricketer to a Cabinet member continues to inspire many. He also acknowledged Sports Minister Vakiti Srihari, noting that leaders with a sporting background bring discipline into governance.

He said the government is promoting sports through a new sports policy and initiatives like the CM Cup to identify talent, especially from rural areas. He encouraged students to pursue sports alongside academics.

The Chief Minister further announced plans to upgrade LB Stadium to international standards and develop Gachibowli Stadium for global events, expressing confidence that Telangana will regain its sporting glory.
