Short Circuit Suspected as Cause of Fire
According to preliminary findings by the police:

Furniture Stored in Cellar Worsened Fire
Police revealed that the fire spread rapidly due to large quantities of furniture stored in the cellar, which is a serious violation of safety norms.
Key observations include:
- Furniture storage in the cellar helped flames spread quickly
- Thick smoke accumulated within minutes
- People trapped inside had no chance to escape
Deaths Caused by Smoke Suffocation
ACP Praveen Kumar stated that the people present in the cellar died due to smoke suffocation.
- Victims were unable to escape as toxic smoke filled the cellar
- Lack of ventilation worsened the situation
- The fire itself was less fatal than the dense smoke inhalation
Investigation Ongoing, More Details Expected
Police confirmed that the investigation is ongoing, and all aspects of the case are being examined, including:
- Electrical safety lapses
- Illegal use of cellar space
