GHMC Wins ‘Best Stall’ Award at Numaish 2026 in Hyderabad

GHMC wins the Best Stall award at Numaish 2026 in Nampally, Hyderabad, for showcasing handmade products by 35 Self-Help Groups.

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has won the prestigious “Best Stall” award at the Numaish Exhibition – 2026, held at Nampally. The award recognises GHMC’s efforts in promoting community-based livelihoods through its Urban Community Development initiatives.

Self-Help Groups Shine at GHMC Stall

The award-winning stall was set up by GHMC’s Urban Community Development wing and featured handmade products from 35 Self-Help Groups (SHGs). All items on display were crafted by SHG members and offered for sale during the exhibition.

Thousands of people visiting the annual Numaish exhibition stopped at the GHMC stall, giving it an overwhelming response.

Award Presented to GHMC

The organisers of the Numaish presented a citation and memento in the name of the GHMC Commissioner. Vijayalakshmi, Project Officer, Gosha Mahal, received the award on behalf of the Corporation.

Commissioner Congratulates SHG Members

Expressing happiness over the achievement, GHMC Commissioner R. V. Karnan congratulated:

  • The Self-Help Group members for their hard work
  • Officials of the Urban Community Development wing for supporting and promoting grassroots entrepreneurship

He said the recognition reflects GHMC’s commitment to empowering women and strengthening community-based economic activities.
