Telangana Government Launches Urea Booking Through MeeSeva Centres, Making Subsidised Urea Easier for Farmers

Telangana Government has launched subsidised urea booking through MeeSeva centres across the state. Farmers can now book urea using their Pattadar Passbook Number for a Rs. 10 service fee.

Hyderabad: The Telangana Government has introduced a new facility allowing farmers to book subsidised urea through MeeSeva centres across the state. The initiative, launched by the Agriculture Department in collaboration with MeeSeva under the leadership of IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu, aims to make urea availability easier, improve transparency and ensure timely distribution. Farmers who are unable to use the Fertilizer Booking App can now complete the booking process at their nearest MeeSeva centre with the help of an operator.

Subsidised Urea Booking Now Available at MeeSeva Centres

To simplify access to subsidised urea for farmers across Telangana, the Agriculture Department has made the Urea Booking Service available through all MeeSeva centres in the state.

The department said the initiative is intended to:

  • Improve transparency.
  • Ensure timely distribution of subsidised urea.
  • Provide an easy alternative for farmers unable to use the Fertilizer Booking App.

The new initiative is being implemented jointly by MeeSeva, functioning under the leadership of IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu, and the Agriculture Department.

How Farmers Can Book Urea Through MeeSeva

Farmers can book subsidised urea by following these steps:

  • Visit the nearest MeeSeva centre with their Pattadar Passbook (PPB) Number.
  • The MeeSeva operator will collect the farmer’s details.
  • The operator will enter the cultivated area and crop details.
  • The required quantity of urea will be booked with the farmer’s preferred fertiliser dealer.
  • After verifying the One-Time Password (OTP) sent to the farmer’s registered mobile number, a Booking ID will be generated immediately.

Important Guidelines for Farmers

The Agriculture Department has issued the following instructions:

  • The Booking ID issued through MeeSeva will remain valid for 48 hours, excluding the booking date.
  • Farmers must purchase the booked urea from the selected fertiliser dealer before the booking expires.
  • Subsidised urea should be booked only through the official Fertilizer Booking App or MeeSeva centres.
  • Farmers must ensure that the mobile number linked to their Pattadar Passbook is active to receive the OTP.
  • The MeeSeva service is available for a nominal service charge of Rs. 10.
  • For assistance or clarification, farmers may contact:
    • Agricultural Extension Officer (AEO)
    • Mandal Agriculture Officer (MAO)
    • The nearest MeeSeva centre

Government Appeals to Farmers

The Agriculture Department has appealed to all farmers in Telangana to make use of the new facility and obtain subsidised urea only through the official booking system to ensure transparent and timely distribution.

The Telangana Government has expanded access to subsidised urea by introducing MeeSeva-based urea booking services across the state. Implemented jointly by the Agriculture Department and MeeSeva under the leadership of IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu, the initiative enables farmers to book urea using their Pattadar Passbook Number, receive a Booking ID after OTP verification, and purchase fertiliser within 48 hours through their selected dealer. The Agriculture Department has urged all farmers to use only the official booking channels.
