Grand Celebrations Planned for Mahavir Jayanti on March 31
The announcement was made during a press conference held at Deshoddharaka Bhavan in Bashir Bagh by Yogesh Kumar Singhi, Chairman of the Margadarshak Mandal. He informed that the main celebrations will take place at the Exhibition Grounds at 10:30 a.m.

Hyderabad is set to witness grand celebrations of Mahavir Jayanti marking the 2625th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Mahavir on March 31, 2026. The event is being organised under the aegis of Sri Jain Seva Sangh.

A grand Shobha Yatra will be a highlight of the event, beginning at 8:30 a.m. from the Jain Temple at Feelkhana. The procession will pass through key locations, including Moazzam Jahi Market, before culminating at the Exhibition Grounds.

Organisers expect participation from over one lakh devotees from Hyderabad, Secunderabad, and Bolarum. Alongside religious observances, several welfare initiatives such as free medical camps, blood donation drives, and health check-ups will also be conducted.
Prominent dignitaries, including Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Minister Mohammed Azharuddin, are expected to attend the celebrations. MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Himanshu Bapna, and other notable personalities are also likely to be present.
The event will feature devotional music performances and the presence of Jain Sadhus, Acharyas, and other spiritual leaders, making it a significant religious and cultural occasion for the Jain community in the city.
