In a major crackdown, Hyderabad Task Force has busted an adulterated ginger garlic paste racket in Attapur, arresting three accused involved in manufacturing and selling unsafe food products. The operation exposed serious health risks linked to unhygienic food processing.

3 Accused Arrested in Food Adulteration Case

The arrested individuals have been identified as:

  • Sohail Charaniya (38)
  • Raheem Charaniya (36)
  • Amit Charaniya (35)

All three are brothers and were running the business from godowns in MM Pahadi, Rajendra Nagar.

Unhygienic Manufacturing and Dangerous Chemicals Used

During the raid, officials found shocking details:

  • Ginger and garlic paste prepared in highly unhygienic conditions
  • Use of harmful chemicals like:
    • Santic acid
    • Acetic acid
    • Synthetic food colours
  • Mixing of garlic husk and low-quality materials

The paste was stored in open plastic tubs, exposed to dust and flies, making it unsafe for consumption.

Huge Quantity Seized Worth ₹3.5 Lakh

Authorities seized:

  • 70 quintals of ginger and garlic paste
  • Synthetic food colour packets (1 box)
  • Santic acid (40 litres)
  • Chemical materials from Aditya Birla (1 box)

The total value of seized goods is estimated at ₹3,50,000.

Supply Network Across Hyderabad

Police revealed that the accused:

  • Supplied adulterated paste to wholesale kirana stores
  • Distributed products to catering services
  • Earned huge profits through illegal and unsafe practices

Joint Operation by Task Force and Food Safety Officials

The raid was conducted by:

  • Commissioner’s Task Force (Jubilee Hills Zone)
  • Food Adulteration Team
  • Attapur Police

The accused and seized materials have been handed over for further legal action.
