Illegal Pickle Manufacturing Unit Exposed

The operation was carried out during routine patrolling when police:

  • Identified a godown in Venkateshwara Nagar, Jiyaguda
  • Found a large-scale pickle production unit running without a license
  • Discovered extremely unhygienic conditions

Officials revealed that the accused were producing pickles using spoiled vegetables and low-quality ingredients, posing serious health risks.

Massive Seizure of Adulterated Products

During the raid, police seized:

  • 72 drums of pickles (lemon, red chilli, tamarind, amla, sorrel)
  • 6 drums of tomato and tamarind paste
  • 1 drum of ginger-garlic paste
  • Weighing machine used for packaging and sale

The products were reportedly being sold to local shops at cheap prices.

Two Accused Arrested

The arrested individuals have been identified as:

  • N. Narsimha (54)
  • N. Naresh (45)

Both are residents of Jiyaguda, Hyderabad, and were operating the illegal business.

Case Registered, Investigation Underway

Police registered a case under relevant legal sections:

  • Cr. No. 85/2026 at Kulsumpura Police Station
  • Charges include adulteration and sale of unsafe food products

Further investigation is ongoing to identify supply networks and distribution channels.

  • Check for proper labeling and certification
