Hyderabad: In a major anti-drug operation, the Commissioner’s Task Force, West Zone Team, Hyderabad, along with SR Nagar Police, arrested two persons for possessing a huge quantity of dry ganja worth ₹35 lakh. The accused were caught with 70 kilograms of dry ganja and two mobile phones, police said.

Police identified the arrested persons as:
- Maniel Dalabhera (30)
Farmer, native of Gajapati district, Odisha
Role: Cultivator - Ismail Raita (48)
Employee at an industrial unit in Medchal, Hyderabad
Role: Peddler
Seized Material Worth ₹35 Lakh
During the operation, police seized:
- 70 KGs of Dry Ganja
- 02 Mobile Phones
Total value of seized material: ₹35,00,000
How the Ganja Network Operated
According to police, Maniel Dalabhera cultivated ganja on agricultural land in his native village in Odisha due to financial difficulties. Later, Ismail Raita, who had migrated to Hyderabad for work, agreed to sell the ganja locally.

- Repeated sales took place near Medchal

Based on credible information, the Task Force laid a trap and arrested both accused.
