A major fire broke out at a Suzuki car showroom’s service centre near Pillar Number 185 in Attapur, Hyderabad, on Monday, triggering panic in the area. The blaze reportedly originated in the scrap storage section of the service centre and quickly intensified, resulting in three cars being completely gutted.

Fire department officials rushed to the spot with two fire tenders and managed to bring the flames under control in time, preventing the fire from spreading further and averting a major mishap. As a precautionary measure, around 90 families living in nearby buildings were evacuated to ensure their safety.

Local residents alleged negligence on the part of the showroom management, claiming that safety measures were inadequate. However, the showroom authorities expressed suspicion of possible sabotage behind the incident.

The police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the cause of the fire. CCTV footage from the area is being examined as part of the probe. No injuries were reported in the incident, officials said.
