Hyderabad Hosts All India Law Entrance Guidance Conference on Sir Salar Jung I Birth Anniversary

An All-India Law Entrance Guidance Conference was successfully organised at Asifnagar Gardens on Tuesday to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sir Salar Jung I, the eminent statesman, administrator and judicial reformer.

Hyderabad: An All-India Law Entrance Guidance Conference was successfully organised at Asifnagar Gardens on Tuesday to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sir Salar Jung I, the eminent statesman, administrator and judicial reformer.

The conference was held under the auspices of Nawab Ehtiram Ali Khan, Board Member of the Salar Jung Museum and grandson of Sir Salar Jung I. Nawab Najaf Ali Khan, grandson of the Seventh Nizam of Hyderabad, Mir Osman Ali Khan, attended the programme as a distinguished noble guest.

Presiding over the conference was Nawab Ahmed Amir Khan, Imam-ul-Mulk IV.

The event featured several eminent legal luminaries, including Senior Counsel Advocate Raghunath V, former President of the Telangana High Court Bar Association; Advocate Afser Jahan, former Government Pleader, Government of Telangana; Advocate Murtuza Farooqui, former Deputy Commissioner, Excise Department and practicing advocate at the High Court; and Advocate Abubakar Bakulka, Research Scholar at Woxsen University and practicing advocate.

Addressing the gathering, the speakers highlighted the growing opportunities in the legal profession and emphasised the importance of law entrance examinations for aspiring students. Special focus was laid on the 33 per cent reservation for women at various levels in the judiciary, and the speakers strongly urged women students to come forward and enrol in law courses to take advantage of the constitutional and policy support available for them.

The speakers noted that increased participation of women in the judiciary would strengthen justice delivery and ensure greater inclusivity in the legal system.

The conference was jointly organised by Arastu College, Wisdom Law Judicial Academy and Maitri College, and was convened by Advocate Mohammad Rafiuddin and Advocate Abdul Muheeb, Assistant Professor of Law and Founder-Director of Wisdom Law Judicial Academy.

The programme concluded with an interactive session, guiding students on law entrance examinations, career prospects and opportunities in the judiciary.
